Only one more week and Valencia is officially in Fallas season - next Sunday the city will be awakened with the Desperta.
Then fireworks at 2pm and in the evening the opening ceremony (La Crida) will be held at the Torres de Serranos. But first things first, the yearly Ninot Exhibition is always our first act of Fallas. Where the Fallas commissions sent their favorite figures to be judged by a jury. The winning figures are NOT getting burned!
This year it feels like the Fallas artists stepped up their game - so many figures are so incredible, they rather belong in a museum then getting burned! I mean, look at that weird monkey! Also we noticed a theme with tons of Putin figures!
