The Yongxing News Agency quoted information from the Joint Staff Headquarters of the Korean Army as saying that at 2:59 and 3:23 local time on the 2nd, North Korea launched two "short-range unknown launchers" from the area of Yongxing, South Hanjing Road to the eastern waters of the Korean Peninsula.
The Joint Staff Headquarters of the Korean Army said that the Korean military is closely monitoring whether the DPRK has other developments related to the launch activities, while maintaining a vigilant posture.
North Korea's top leader, Kim Jong-un, directed and watched the launch of a newly developed large-caliber rocket on July 31, KCNA reported on August 1.
