A couple of years ago I decided NOT to buy some land in Liberstad. Being a family man and especially my wife's job which is essential to her living near the capitol - we decided to let the younger ones be the idealists.
Yesterday the State owned TV-channel NRK had a long reporting on

And to be fair, they actually did a great job. That's what made me think twice. What the hell is going on? Why is mainstream media, state owned media reporting on a anarcho capitalist town and it was almost as if they tried to make it look like a good idea which they supported. They usually just paint stuff like this brown and call them nazis basically. They use words like "sorteringssamfunn" which translates to "sorting society" which is basically a society where private people chose not to collaborate with certain people. This is of course bad for socialists.
Of course, local people in that area outside Kristiandsand in the middle of the Norwegian bible-belt are sceptical to a bunch of 25 year old libertarians - and there was a lot of hatred and ridicule on social media.
But NRK did an objective and well balanced and informational piece on it. I must say I'm quite surprised. Could it mean they are loosing up on libertarianism and cryptos and freedom? Do they perhaps realize that this is a unevitable shift? Perhaps they realize that in order to deal with immigration, debt and all this, we have to call it the day for the welfare system and the fiat currency keynsian economic model? Are we slowly going to adopt full capitalism at last? Will they let people who really want it go first and see what happens? And then perhaps let more people do it? Perhaps in order to dont go for the "universal basic income" which is a horrible idea. Because of robotics and AI and automation..jobs will be gone. A LOT of jobs. And how convenient that cryptos came along at this point in time...
Liberstad also accept BTC and BCH :)
Another funny thing is how people in the comments fields on Facebook always accuse libertarians for being racist..well..let's see
