Read about my small boat renovating Project at my previous post here
After removing the carpets from the floor, washing with Aceton for removing fat and the old glue, i measured up the floor board.
When you use the product I wrote about on my last post;
you have to remember to measure exactly and cut it in such a way so that the teak boards are centered in each floor board. Also, you have to take into account that the teak on each floor board should Give a synchronized view and give the impression that it’s one big teak plate layed on top of the whole floor.
And in any small projects, it escalates, and start growing into something bigger than the original plan. As I worked in the boat I discovered some old leaking damage to the cabin roof. It removed the roof plates, snd this is the result :
The Leather is attachéd on a 5mm wood plate, which is then screwed into the roof. So on the other side the wood looked like this:
As you can clearly see, it’s completely ruined. That’s was a big disappointment, and clearly meant that the boat renovation project had escalated to a new level.
I have 7 more days to finish, before it will put on the ocean.
Well, parallel with this I managed today to finish the main floor level with the teak, and I’m quite happy with the result.
here is before With carpets:
Here is after, with teak:
Looks like completely new ! :)
