Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos) is perhaps Norway's most common duck.
The male bird has greenish colour on the head. The cap has a brownish-coloured tone.
The pictures are thanks in the low evening sun on the seafront near a river that flows into saltwater.
Here many different seabirds are fed by passing people.
