Millions of innocent people are running for their lives and in hiding all around the world.
Stuck in the middle of war zones, wars that they want nothing to do with, they just want to be free and to live their lives as any human does.
They want safety for their children, they want homes and gardens and joyful communities just like you and I.
Instead they are trapped in areas plagued by bombs, with rubble filled streets in which militia controls them and kills them! Kills their innocent children, husbands, wives, parents, sisters and brothers. So much destruction, schools, hospitals, homes destroyed without regard.
#NotATarget is a humanitarian movement that aims to convey a message, a message that civilians, health and aid workers are just that: NOT A TARGET. These people are commonly seen as easy marks for those who wish to spread terror and cause the most damage in their pointless wars.

I'm sharing this today as I'm increasingly moved by a song by my close friend and neighbor Lyndsay Bowes, a passionate human rights activist and musician whose mission is to bring awareness to these atrocities happening all over the world. "Silence is Consent" is a common sign off on her political posts, and I'm trying to start using my voice instead of turning a blind eye. I'm creating signs to promote this message in her upcoming music video for Stop Killing Our Friends as the messages are parallel in my eyes.
