An interesting fact I learned about chickadees is that they are very good at assessing threats and will determine a person non-threatening as they see us go about our daily routines.

It's hard to tell from the video but there are two different chickadees landing in my hand here. The one that stayed on my hand for a while had been doing that all summer. Though it had never hung around for that long. It's mate isn't as comfortable with me and had just started landing on me shortly before this day.
