Coronado Beach in California is very wide and has almost no slope. Low tide makes for some great reflections and this one came at sunset. The man talking his walk is far from me and does not know I caught him.
This was my hometown beach for about 20 years. I often timed my walks on it for low tide so I would have this nice surface. Even though this beach is in Southern California, the Pacific Ocean water is quite cold. Between the hard packed sand and the gentle waves, my feet and lower legs would feel fantastic after an hour out here.
On this day the gentle light was a bonus. About 10 minutes later the sky was completely dark.
This post is my first of three entries for the BEACH PHOTOGRAPHY contest ongoing by . If you have some beach photography, this is the contest for you too!
