Is that a lion fish on a ship, breathing water out to give life to koi? Am I looking at a Chinese myth in this painting? There is no one to ask in this empty spot.
I found this painted pillar in a hawker stall in Singapore. It is not anywhere special or where a lot of people might pass by. It has tables leaning on it and hooks for rope in a seemingly random location. The pillar itself is etched with vertical lines on its rounded surface, making the painting difficult.
Someone unknown has a lot of talent. Excellent color and compostion under a stressful situation.
