Two years ago i went to Japan for work. I do get lucky in this way. My hobby takes me out at night and i work during the day. This photography was taken on a playground not to far from the Tokyo city centre. In and around Tokyo you'll find a few very interesting playgrounds with all sorts of fanny toys for the kids to play.
To take these shots i got inspired by a japanese photographer who has been to many of these playgrounds. I wanted to see this for myself and so i researched some of these. Here is one of them. The Octopus is such a cool subject. The photo was taken with an Olympus OMD because there was so much light polution. Normally i shoot with a Canon that was not going to give me this result. So when you have the Olympus there is a feature calls Life comp that allows you to expose for a long time without over exposing. Only new light will add to the image. Thats what i did here.
That feature i use sometimes when i explain things in a tutorial or during a photo booth environment.
If you have any more questions how its done ask me please.
