The 15th day of the Inktober had me very thoughtful, the subject is "legend" but the truth is I did not know what to draw for him, I thought of drawing mythological creatures or Hercules, I also thought of some local legend and I was even about to represent a song in Spanish called "la leyenda del hada y el mago"(the legend of the fairy and the magician). But I got all those ideas out of my head, because I ended up drawing someone without a head.

Tools:
- Opaline Cardboard (A4)
- HB Graphite Pencil
- Black ballpoint pen
- Black marker

-Step 1:
The sketch was a bit difficult, because I didn't get an optimal position for the horse, it looked strange from the front, I didn't want it from the side, so I decided to put it in a middle point between the two positions.

-Step 2:
Next, I delineated the whole sketch with the pen, I noticed that it has really served the practice of all these days with the pen, despite being very late in the challenge, my use of the pen has improved a lot and even ink faster than before. Thank you blessed practice.

-Step 3:
The black marker, helps to lighten the expenditure of time and ink in the darkest areas, but you should not go crazy using it because you can not make soft shadows with it, that's work for the pen, this being used gently can generate less dark shadows or tone gradients.

-Step 4:
Detailing with stripes is great, because you can shadow everything with layers, if the shading is light, simply add a new layer of stripes. This is what I have applied throughout the drawing, although I was a little afraid to add a lot of black, I didn't want to ruin the details, especially on the horse.

I'll leave you a little gif with the whole process in it, so you can better appreciate the step by step.

What is inktober?
The inktober is an initiative created by the illustrator Jake Parker in 2009, in order to improve his artistic skills, although over the years has made a great impact on the international artistic community. The challenge is to make a drawing with ink every day, hence its name, "ink" (ink) "tober" (October), although for the most part this is respected, many other artists prefer to stay in their comfort zone, so you can see illustrations made with watercolors, graphite, charcoal, digital and any existing technique.
