I have been painting a lots of faces and i paint them with care and try to make them as realistic as possible for me. But i wanted to try something new. I watch tutorials and learn from them and i have been watching marc brunnet's tutorial and he talks about color and shapes.
some of his paintings are really messy yet so beautiful and i wanted to try that with some portrait.
Normally i use reference photo from different sites but today i didn't. while painting i realized i wasn't doing the light and shade part right. so i had to stand in front of the mirror and hold a light on one side to see how that effects my skin.
so i kinda used my own face for light structure.
it was fun and i learned so much.
I kept is rough and textured and less details but many vibrant colors. And except for the background i painted the whole face, hair and cloths on a single layer.
Hope this looks good.
