Arch of Titus, Rome

One of the oldest arches in Rome is the Arch of Titus, which is located in the Roman Forum, near the Colosseum.

There are numerous ancient monuments in the Roman forum, in one of my previous posts I showed a general view. The Arch of Titus drew my attention, as it was one of the best preserved structures. A few days ago, I had been in Paris, so it was inevitable to notice its similar resemblance to the Arc de Triomphe.

Then, I was reading a bit and I learned the Arch of Titus served as inspiration for the construction of others around the world.

The walk in the Roman Forum can last from 2 to 3 hours, depending on how long you stop to appreciate each monument, so my suggestion is you wear comfortable shoes. if you will visit it, it's also a good idea to stay hydrated, especially in sunny days.
