Had a little wander down to the Purton Ship Graveyard (also known as the Purton Hulks) its a fascinating place. The hulls of disused barges and ships have been sunk into the river bank to reduce erosion of the land between the Severn and the Sharpness to Gloucester canal that runs parallel to the river about 50 yards away.
