I’m finally over the dry spell!
I took everyones advice and gave myself a break. I played video games and Magic, watched a couple of films while I edited photos, binge watched two anime series and found inspiration in the most obvious of places. Finding balance and being productive is a nice feeling. I’m living my best life. 😊
All my drawings are original sketches drawn digitally by me on the Procreate App using the iPad Pro with Apple Pencil.

I jumped right into inking and skipped pencils entirely. I did have to make several adjustments to the bridge of the nose, position of the brows and shape of the eyes.
I’ve seen several artist speckle in blush so I did a test with the spray paint tool. I started to like it more after toning down the edges to give the curve of the cheek a gradient look. I’m still not sure how I feel about it and may continue to experiment. Then I shrunk down the image and sketched out a hairstyle.
Inking the hair was a lot of fun. (I forgot to mention that I used the reed tool listed under organic for a majority of this image.) I started to fill in areas with precise strokes. After I finished a section I’d use the liquify tool to curve the lines in the center, which helped to give the hair more dimension and the the illusion of weight. I decided that I preferred a short hair/up-do versus the long ponytail. It compliments the bold features on the face and looks very runway.
