You ever find that some numbers just keep reappearing or seem to have a special significance? For me 100 billion, or 100,000,000,000, is one of those curious numbers. 100 billion is approximately the number of stars in our galaxy. 100 billion is also the estimated number of entire galaxies in our universe. And just the other day I was reminded that the estimate of the total number of human beings ever to live, breathe, and walk on this planet is also; 100 billion. 100 billion is also the number of bacteria (cfus or colony forming units) in many popular probiotic supplements. ... and now richest person in the world? $100 billion ... possible number of neurons in brain? 100 billion?
100 billion is an interesting number because it is hugely large, but not absurdly large such as a trillion, quadrillion or such scopes that are basically beyond our comprehension.
Anyone else got a 100 billion reference?
