Authorities said Nvidia, the US technology firm, is still blocking Iranian Internet users from accessing its main Internet site.
Xinhua News Agency reports that the Nvidia.com software download page does not allow Iranian IP addresses to access updated programs, as the site now shows "403 - Forbidden".
It also banned Iranian users from another site, geforce.com, where this site appears as "access denied" followed by a message saying "The request has been blocked by security rules."
When users called online customer service to ask why the site was suddenly blocked, Nvidia replied as follows:
We are sorry to inform you that Geforce Now and Geforce Experience are not available in the restricted countries.
Prior to Tehran's nuclear agreement in 2015, many US and European software companies banned Iranians from reaching concessions. The company's decision comes just days after Apple began removing Iranian applications from applications.
