I am watching a TED Talk called "This is your Brain on Sugar" by Neuroscientist Amy Reichelt.
Did you know that Sugar is more addictive than cocaine? I want you to understand this because I look at obese people very differently than I did years ago before I discovered the mechanism of obesity from Dr. Lustig, Dr. Fung and other obesity specialists.
You see, sugar is addictive. Your brain craves sugar so much that it will short circuit your conscious ability to oppose it.
Try telling someone addicted to cocaine that they should just "use less cocaine" - sounds ridiculous doesn't it?
Well telling someone who is obese to stop eating so much is the same.
So to all those obese people out there, I am sorry I judged your resolve to lose weight and your willpower. I was wrong.
