This was the car that we took on the climb up Table Mountain.
As I have previously posted about our trip up the mountain in the cable car, I promised more posts.
Well here is another one for you to enjoy.
For those that see this for the first time, the post entails some photos of our recent cable car ride to the top of the famous Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa.
Hope that you enjoy the pictures.
Here above is the video that I made.
Unfortunately the windows only open for a very short time!
As you can see they all look happy!
Or is that nervous? LOL
And that was our way up to the top!
A brave starling catching a free ride up!
Look how this model was photo bombed!
Can you see the intruder now?
Happily he flew away knowing that all of you saw his picture!
And here is the man himself.
I hate selfies, but madam ordered the shot!
Another brave model standing on the edge!
I wonder what these guys think about all of the human animals that invade their territory?
He certainly doesn't look very welcoming!
A beautiful brass plaque of the mountain and I have circled in blue where we were!
Can you believe that a restaurant and a pub was doing a roaring trade on the mountain top!
Caught this on the way down and am looking forward to a trip on one of these!
Finally, a beautiful story about the importance of nature at the mountain top!
And That's All Folks!
South Africa is indeed a beautiful country and it's people are generally warm and welcoming.
Unfortunately like most of the other countries worldwide we also have political and economical turmoil.
A high degree of un-employment and poverty does not improve matters, with so many in need of basic services and assistance.
We do focus on the good and uplifting things in our country, but we are constantly looking for ways to improve the lives of others. Everybody should receive the same quality of services regardless of their income levels.
May we be ever thankful for all that God does for us. May we never expect to receive and receive and receive...without giving in return - in abundance!
Just as the seas are filled with fish, the skies with birds, and the mountains with wildlife...so too should our hearts be filled with generosity and goodwill for others. Life is not about living for ourselves. It is about reaching out to others, so that they too can receive the abundance that we have been given.
Nature teaches us everyday that there is life in abundance - but do we reach out for it with our hearts focused on our own wants...or do we reach out for ourselves and for others simultaneously?
