Normalerweise braucht es immer etwas Zeit bis man etwas neues geschaffen hat, man braucht seine Inspiration, die richtige Stimmung und neue Ideen. Wie ihr euch vielleicht erinnern könnt, habe ich in letzter Zeit einige Bleistiftzeichnungen (Porträt) gemacht um meine Porträtfähigkeiten zu verbessern. Ich bin zwar immer noch nicht glücklich mit den Ergebnissen, aber ich dachte ich brauche eine kleine Porträt Pause. Also kehre ich zu meinem anderen Lieblingsthema das Meer zurück. Im Winter passiert natürlich nicht viel in den Häfen da viele Boote gut verpackt in ihren Bootshäusern stehen, aber es ist immer schön einen Spaziergang an der Küste zu machen.
Dieses Mal dachte ich daran, meine Zeichnung mit Bleistiften zu machen, aber weil es eine Abendszene war, wurde das ganze Bild so langweilig und dunkel. Ich liebe es Segel zu zeichnen und natürlich kann ich mit Graphit nicht das ganze Spektrum der Farben wiedergeben, deshalb habe ich mich nach der ersten Skizze entschieden mein Lieblingswerkzeug die Pastellstifte zu verwenden. Ich habe etwa 2 Tage für das Bild gebraucht, und ich nenne es "Ein Abend am Hafen"

As always it usually takes some time till one creates something, you need to have your Muse, the right mood and idea. As you remember I had few pencils drawings portraits recently as I would like to improve my portrait skills, I am still not 100% happy with the results, but I thought I need a bit break and distraction first, so I returned to my another favorite subject sea. Of course in winter there is nothing much happens at havens and many boats parked in their boathouses for winter but it is always nice to have a walk at coast, only I don’t like to walk against wind, especially now when it is not getting warmer then may be 6-9 degree above 0. But we have nice, sunny days and I am thankful that we don’t have rain.
This time I thought to do a drawing with graphite pencils but because my scene was evening then the whole picture became so boring and dark. I love to draw sails and of course with graphite you can’t show the whole spectrum of colors, therefore after initial sketch I decided to used my favorite tools soft pastel sticks, but descent colors as it is evening, on few occasion I almost began to think that there is a sun, but every time must stop and choose other colors.
It took me again about 2 days, my drawing I called “Evening at the haven”
