What a year to blog about all the things we were too busy living to post last year. This is from the haunted house at the Beaumont Studio in 2019, this building serves as both an art collective and a respectable venue.
It's Jen who got me really curious about checking out this interactive play, her performance as the Red Queen was to die for, she is such a blast that one! She is one of my closest friends who genuinely know how to cheer me up and she's also very real.
I was very impressed at what all the performers had put together in this maze of a haunted house, it was quite a show and frankly an amazing homage to the rich universe of Tim Burton. The performances were heartfelt and extremely comical. Everyone will tell you, Jen was the star of the show! She told me today that she was asked to do it again this year, but she had been very cold during the play and truly regrets not having recommended me because she thinks I'm a great actor. Yay!
The aerialist number was quite skilled and there was another scene with people screaming and a monster without a head! Gasp!
It was the most convincing haunted house number of them all.
The Corpse Bride was a really good signer, what a beautiful way to end this journey FOREVER!!! psyche!
This is the very, very end .To get here, you had to answer a riddle which I hadn't really bothered with. A little cocktail party to see us off in style, even here, there were performers, Bettlejuice our wonderful MC was on fire and my good friend and colleague Diana Vanderveen was bartending.
I was a little exhausted that night, it was fun but it seems even more exciting to remember it at a time where I feel much more lonely. It's tough to be physically distant from mostpeople all of a sudden, I used to teach so many classes and find myself amongst dozens of different people each week. I know that one of my fellow fitness instructors is back to a pretty busy in person schedule and I am so happy for him but my goings are much slower. To be honest, I am not thinking of teaching art or fitness classes as often as before. Furthermore, I already have resumed the occasional gig.
I hope you had a happy Halloween everyone, hang in there! Try to do what you love and all the best!
