Hello everyone, introduce my name is Icha Clouds, When I was 14 years old, I loved elephants, monitor lizards, and snakes and other animals, I saw a snake in the pet shop. From that experience, his curiosity about reptiles increased. With the savings that I have collected so far, I bought a snake to raise.

As I get older, I'm showing my hobby even more. At the age of 21, I have raised 16 snakes - one of which lives in my private bedroom. Among my collection of reptiles the most favorite are the Burmese pythons, the royal pythons and the blood pythons. Despite being bitten many times, I never thought that this pet would act aggressively towards me. I used to be bitten by snakes every week, a resident in my Kutawaringin sub-district, Bandung regency, West Java, died allegedly being wrapped in a pet snake. The chairman of the Aspera Reptile Lovers Community, Roy Silalahi, appealed to the general public not to keep snakes and consider all snakes to be dangerous animals. Ordinary people don't understand or don't know about snakes and we can see that it's better if we don't get close at all. Even if it's not poisonous because we laymen never know the characteristics of whether it's a dangerous snake or not. It is better to consider all reptiles, especially snakes, to be dangerous. Because it's to avoid events that we don't want. Roy said that snakes are wild animals even though they have been kept for years. He compared the very different nature of snakes with other domestic mammals such as dogs and cats. The snake bite can be of a high severity. When it gets bitten and it won't let go, I will feed it. Or you can also give alcohol and immerse the head in water. If it's a small snake, then just wait. Usually they will release the bite on their own. I never get angry, because I love them.
They are the most nervous animals. They didn't come out to kill you. They also didn't come out because they wanted to arrest you. For me, I really love the 4.8 meter long Burmese python because I have been caring for it for a long time. Sometimes, I allow these Burmese pythons to roam around. In fact, the snake was allowed to enter my room and could sleep with me at night. Not only the bedroom, this python can even get into the roof and hide in a pile of boards. My Burmese python was fed an extra large rabbit. If the supply runs out, the food ration is switched to other rodents or chickens.

An elephant living alone at the Marghazar Zoo in Pakistan will have a better chance of living after being rescued by animal activists. Kaavan, who has lived in dire conditions for more than 30 years at the Marghazar Zoo, will be relocated to Cambodia. As an animal lover activist, I urge the relocation of Kaavan not only because the elephant has now lived alone for the past eight years. However, the condition of the zoo which is no longer suitable for animals to live in is another consideration. Martin Bauer, spokesman for the animal welfare campaign group Four Paws, said Kaavan was finally given medical approval to travel. Most likely, he will move to an animal sanctuary in Cambodia, where the elephants will find friendship and better conditions. Wildlife experts from Four Paws examined the elephants at the invitation of local authorities, Bauer said.

Kaavan underwent a complete health check at the zoo on Friday and was found to be malnourished. "Due to malnutrition and lack of physical exercise, Kaavan is showing signs of obesity," said Dr Amir Khalil, a veterinarian with Four Paws. "In addition, the nails are cracked and deformed which could be attributed to the improper floor and structure of the cage."
The Marghazar Zoo was ordered to close in May by Pakistan's High Court over its dire conditions, which it blamed for systemic negligence. The Four Paws were invited by the Islamabad Wildlife Management Board to safely remove any remaining animals at the zoo, including a former pair of dancing bears. "Unfortunately, the rescue came too late for the two lions that died during attempted relocation in late July after local officers set fire to their enclosures to force them into the transport crates," Bauer said.
Before the order was closed, the Marghazar Zoo came under fire for animal mistreatment. More than 500 animals have been reported missing in recent years. In addition, more than two dozen animals have died in the zoo's care since 2016.
The campaign to relocate Kavaan took place four years ago and was driven by the support of celebrities, including American singer Cher. Kaavan first arrived at zoo a in 1985 as a gift from Sri Lanka to Pakistan. Elephants are not always lonely and for years share a small cage with female partner Saheli, who died in 2012. Upon inspection, Kavaan was found to be suffering from behavioral problems as well as physical damage caused by the poor conditions isolated at the Marghazar Zoo. "The lack of physical and behavioral enrichment and the absence of a partner has caused Kaavan to become very bored," said Dr Frank Goritz, chief veterinarian at the Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research who accompanied Four Paws to Islamabad. After passing the medical examination, Kaavan was confirmed to be strong enough to travel to his new place.
This is my journey about my animals, see you back in the next post, this is a post about me.
