I believe that as we get older, we prefer to celebrate birthdays in private and in a simple manner.
When I was younger, I was always excited about my birthday because I knew there would be special foods that I could eat that I couldn't on other days, and of course, my friends and cousins would come, making it feel like a family reunion. It was enjoyable, to say the least. Knowing that you have relatives from other places who paid you visits during your special day.
But as I grew older and became an adult, I realized that my birthday should be celebrated only with my closest friends and loved ones. Those who know me well and are there for me through the ups and downs of my life.
What did I do on my 30th birthday, July 17th? First and foremost, I went to church and prayed, thanking God for all of the blessings He has bestowed upon me. And begged forgiveness for all the sins I've done. I also prayed that COVID will be gone. And lastly asked for guidance for all the decisions I will make.
I also prayed that everythings will be back to normal. Finally, I requested guidance for all of the decisions I will make.
We go to the Mall of Asia after church to buy a suitcase, a travel bag, and some socks. You may be wondering what these are for. I'm delighted to inform you that I was to spend 8 months at sea. Yes finally after many times of applying I was accepted to be a seaman, fulfilling my first dream. My first step toward making my other dreams a reality.
Dreams do come true when you make it happen.
We took a taxi from the Mall of Asia to go home. 
We goes out and buy ingredients for the spaghetti, chicken menudo, and pork steak.
She's a good cook, so she knows what to buy and how to budget our money. And we buy some fish (Bangus). That's our favorite kind of pulutan. After she has purchased everything she needed. I assisted her in chopping onions, carrots, and potatoes, bell pepper and washed properly the meat.
That's my role because she's the cook and I'm the washer or dish washer. I enjoy watching her cook; it's like her hobby and passion. Filipino food? It was simple for her to cook. She even has her own rendition.
We waited for our close friends after she finished cooking. What I love about my girlfriend is that all of my friends are also her friends. She understands how to interact with others, which is why she has so many friends. She is, indeed, a socialist. You may notice her silence, but be wary, she's either hungry or angry.😂😁
Our friends arrived an hour later. Yes, just few of them came but I'm happy.😊
