Today I am going to accompany my sister on her appointment with an optalmologist. It's been a while since the last time that we, my sister and I went outside after lockdown due to pandemic.
Sharing our photos:
Traveling from our location to the next city will took from 1-2 hours. It includes the traffic ofcourse since "ber months" are one of the busiest and lively months of the year. We took 2 jeepney ride and this photo was our first. Aside from that the national government also allows it's citizens to have more freedom in terms of going outside especially on minors. Finally, the kids are allowed inside the mall.
This is the construction of one train that will connect Manila (South) to Pampanga (North) As seen on the photo the constructions are still on process and this is the first time looking on this just so near on me. I couldn't resist to took some photo and amaze how tall and huge it is in person.
Getting back on our journey, my sister chose to looked for a cheaper option on getting her eye glasses. She decides to look for radiation eye glasses available on the street vendors which took us more time on choosing and finding a decent frame that can replace it's glasses. She wanted a black and red color combination but we cannot find that one tho.
This one was the only frame that I knew it can fit her because she wanted to have a bigger glasses at the same time the frame looks classy and heavy duty. This is the fourth store we've tried. After that, we proceed to the optalmologist clinic and wait for the doctor to arrive.
While waiting, there is another costumer waiting for her who will claim her glasses. We chatted that old lady, asking her where she lived because it is strange to see an old lady outiside without someone who took her out. She told us that she's 90 years old and we have same acquatances and she even knew my grand father and grand mother. Which our hometown that we grew, she knew several people and that's our conversation went through.
She also shares how's her life living at the age of 90 with her sister. Living without her kids and grand children (they werr all doctors but they couldn't take care of their own mother). The story was tok long so I will cut it here.
Since the doctor wasn't arrived yet after 20 minutes, we decided to went outside and got some snacks 'cause it's already past 12 in the afternoon. I resist my sisters act of kindness offering me to eat on a convenience store. I wanted her to save her money for much important things. I told her we could eat our lunch when we are home, so don't spend more money instead just bread and water will do.
After few minutes, we came back and finally the doctor was already there. Immediately my sister sitted and her eye check up just began.
The doctor told her that her right eye was too blurred compare to her left eye. Her right eye got 400 grade of glasses to be used. (I don't know if I say it correctly)
Over a she just spend 500 pesos around $10 paying for the glasses only. The frame that we bought was 100 pesos around $2. If she didn't look and bought her own frame, the eye glasses price range will starts at 1,500 pesos $30 and up. She really saves a lot and this is good for her first eye glasses. She can change it whenever she got a higher budget for frames.
That was a tiring date for both of us but atleast she was able a clearer view with her new eye glasses. Those glasses will be her birthday gift for herself after many years of waiting. To my one and only sister, Happy Birthday Sis! 💋💕
