I have an area in my yard under some apple and pear trees that has become a mud pit. Looking for advice on what to put down that is easy and cheap, safe for dogs and the fruit trees. I just need a quick fix for winter. So far I've been considering mulch or straw but this is my first time having a yard (just moved here) so I'm not sure what is best. Any advice much appreciated, my pups come in the house covered in mud.
