Duluth went from the genesis of John's creek to waste management, so the most expensive city in Georgia was unaware of what was happening in its outskirts. A single highschool where my daughter attends birthed John's Creek, Northview and Peachtree Ridge like triplets; then like the offspring of suburban sprawl, forgot where they came from.
My last day working in John's creek, two lady coworkers with many male acquaintances said I should work at the Publix warehouse (Lawrenceville) or Eagle rock (Norcross). I found work in Norcross. Guess I was good enough to work in John's creek but not rich enough to live there.
Meanwhile, Duluth got left behind.
