I saw this nice post, posted by . It's about a the tag #ohsorandom . It gives us steemians a chance to share some things about ourselfs and to get to now eachother in a way maybe wouldn't happen if it weren't for this tag.
I cheat a little cause I didn't got nominated, but I promised to reveal a bit of myself, so here it is.....
1. Familyman
I am a real familyman. I am married to my lovely wife Esther for almost 17 years now. We have two beautyfull sons Sam & Senna, Sam is almost 12 years old and Senna is just turned 14. I'm very proud of my boy's, they are doing well at school. They are well raised and treat people with respect. I think that are the most important values in life, respect and dignity. We live in a town called Zutphen in the Netherlands. I love my work and my hobbies. But my biggest hobby is my family. I can enjoy all the things they are going through and love to talk with them about the important things in life. I love to do stuff with them, go to the movies, concerts and so. I didn't had a real bad youth myself, but I want to give them all I can and have... As long as they realize the important things in life....and they do......
2. Handyman
For years I didn't do my own things around the house, like painting, gardening. But since last year I am really enjoying doing those things. I started to refurbish the house by painting it on the outside. My last big project I am still working on is to redecorate the attic. We are making it a chill room for our boys to have a relax place of their own to play games, hang out with friends and to just chill when they want.
I do get much satisfaction out of crafting things with my own hands. I don't really know why I havent done it before. It's not that I am super handy, but I manage and I get a great sense of satisfaction and joy out of it....
3. Music
As you maybe already have seen from my posts, my life breathes music. It does now, has Always been and will surely Always will. I can't imagine a life without music. Music is what, besides my family, keeps mee going. It is an extension of my feeling. Music has helped me trough rough times, but also brought me joy. Often in weekends I take my acoustic guitar and can realy enjoy playing songs in our garden (of course when it is Sunny). I have played in several bands in the past (as a bassplayer) , at this moment I only make some music at home. My sons both also love making music, Sam plays the drums and Senna plays the guitar.
My musical preference is mostly rock - metal orientated, but actually every kind of musci can move me. Music is about feelings and emotions.....
throw back Thursday, me playing with the band DogZ at an open air gig
4. Injustice
I can't stand Injustice in all its forms. That is something I can get quiet angry about. For that matter I, for example, got a real trouble with Facebook. The way people reply on posts not for a minute thinking on what they are saying and how their reply can hurt someone else..... It makes me mad... For instance, here in Holland we got a political leader who has quiet a opinion on foreigners. He makes his statements on social media like twitter and Facebook. Although he choose his words in a diplomatic way, you know exactly what he means.... His followers reply on his posts with the most horrible reactions and totally not reasoned. As much I want to react to those replies, it isn't worth it. But It makes me angry.... But this is just an example, I have problems in general with injustice.
5. Religion
I am no religious person though I can't believe that we are only for so long on this planet. Although I don't believe in a god that look's after us or detirmines our way in life (I believe in choices of our own) , there has to be something after life. I still havent found the answer or the proof, but my theory is that it is almost unimagineable that for so long our planet and everything around it exists, we are only 'alowed' to be such a small and short part of it.. It's just something that keeps me busy thinking.
I have the deepest respect for all religions but I notice that's not Always the other way around. That is something of all times I guess. I love discussing religions in a respectful way whereby everyone is left in his or her own value.
