In a past life, I managed a large welding division building oilfield equipment. From there I picked up Drafting/Engineering. I had to design and build not only a "Cold weather rated" Single and Double mast service rig, I also had to make them meet period 1 weight requirements for Alberta. This was a feat no other company had done successfully at the time. There was one company that made a single carrier, but it was way over weight, and was brought to me to fix. As part of the certification process for these rigs, I had a rigging company do a pull test on our deadman or Dead Line Anchor.
The 1-1/8" Steel braided cable or Drill line, snapped at 105,000 pounds of straight pull on this test. The cable gives you hints as to when it will let go.
