I painted these flowers from imagination the other day and was pleasantly surprised at the engagement they generated on social media. I particularly found the comments motivating, one of them from a man who I teach private fitness classes in the nude, a novel online concept I have to thank my Queer Men's Yoga group for. That is where I met him, he said the flowers remind him of us two.
How sweet!
It is a watercolor on a paper with coarse grain. Wet on wet at first, allowing the paints to run free thus entering the pockets properly; and honing into the shapes with thicker paints.
To be cheered on like this can go a long way, especially with art, a discipline which most often is not lucrative. It fills my heart with joy, makes me want to continue and shows me that I am making an impact. Why wait until you have a masterpiece on your hands? Share your art with the world through social media because it only allows it to become more prevalent in society, allowing us to get through these tough times.
