Hello Steemit!
This is my third food vlog, where I document what I ate during one day as part of my weight loss program.
Well, I'll admit, today was... not that great food wise. I woke up and got to the gym first thing in the morning (whoot whoot!), but things went downhill from there pretty quickly, including a missed breakfast, 4 egg-rolls, and a strong chocolate craving that went unfulfilled.
While a part of me wanted to not post this full day of eating, I pretty quickly decided that to be authentic, I should post even the days that don't go all that great.
And there is a message in the failure too- for years whenever I started a new diet/workout plan, I would be very strong for a week or two, and then slip off the new healthy regime.
I would treat every one of these slips as a failure, and have to start my diet all over again. Starting over requires SO MUCH ENERGY- I would put it off, decide to start again next week/month/year... But that's just not a right way to look at these little slip ups. They are not failures, they are another obstacle on the way to success, and they don't mean that you have to start all over again.
Tomorrow, I'm not starting my "diet" over again, I'm just keeping on going on my weight loss as usual, taking in mind today's slip ups.
