We are supposed to be united in diversity, it is to be our differences that gives us strength; when we are a collection of various characters, abilities, perspectives, beliefs, solutions, opportunities, experiences, and cultural knowledge then we can shine as world peoples.
When one dominant system or thought process insists itself as "the one", then we suffer intellectual decay, are bereft of the blessings of curiosity, and our culture is strangled by the benighted belief in one true and everlasting system. As much as it is popular for so many groups to argue about and insist on their version of the truth, in reality we are plodding through an evolutionary process in our understanding of ourselves as humans, our place in the world, and trying to LEARN and PROGRESS in our rudimentary scientific, political, and societal systems.
If we insist to stop mixing and recombining, if we crawl into the shells of nationalism, if we create fixed and manipulated markets and adorn our tables with synthetic and plastic foods and fuel our lives with toxic and polluting fuels, if we pretend against all sensibility and reason that this is the best we can do; if we denigrate cultures, languages, and belief systems that are different than ours; if we do all that to protect our own superstitions and prejudices we inevitably become stagnant and sick and hasten our own demise.
We allowed the system to be built that serves "the one", not the "we the people" one, or "under God" one, but for the 'usus per centum', the one percent. We can stay with that reality that blocks 99% of the spectrum or, out of our many and multitudes, we can find those visions and systems that encompass and provide for our full and united destinies.
