Voices of Open Mic - My Thoughts and Experiences on Steemit's Open Mic Contest

What's good Steemit!

As a musician on the Steem blockchain, I find the open mic contest to be a huge source of motivation, inspiration, as well as a drive to push me farther and discover more of my talents. I am more than happy to share my experiences, as Hive account@luzcypher just recently published a post asking us to express ourselves and offer our opinions and perspectives on the Open Mic contest here on Steemit.

I first started participating in the open mics in June of 2017 when I joined Steemit, and after a break, jumped back into Steemit in December. My first course of action was to film myself performing my songs for the open mic contest, which brought me into the idea of even sharing my music visually on this platform.

Since then, I've been pushed to make better videos, become more creative with my music, and have connected with a ton of great musicians from all over the world!
