If this is the first time you've stumbled upon my Happy Whiskey Wednesday post, below is the backstory :)
Once upon a time a group of friends of mine on social media (when facebook was in its fledgling stages) started the tradition of Happy Whiskey Wednesday as a way of bringing some fun to the middle of a work week. It was our own cyber happy hour...s.
We would post kick-ass, upbeat songs to one another; we even turned it into a contest at one point as to who could bring the most fun and excitement to the party. Often the hilarity would go on into the night, with dozens of ridiculous pictures (and comments of course) added to the mix. So if you feel the urge please join in the fun, either by making your own post or posting down below in the comments with videos or anecdotes, or really anything that floats your boats!!
Now I'm a little fish in this ever-growing pond, so I know it will take some time to catch on, but I'm going to keep trying it out, see where it goes!
I missed this post last week, actually my brother started looking into the platform and I was hoping the next video you saw of him would be his introduction (if you read this bro, that's not me pressuring you, haha, just stating a fact ;). He recently had his first child, a beautiful baby girl, and that in addition to being an RN in post-op at a city hospital makes for a very busy guy, but he will be joining us sooner than later (I have faith).
I chose this song for several reasons- It was the first one of his originals I posted when I was brand new here so it didn't get a lot of exposure- though that version was performed in his living room...bringing me to my next reason: The setting for it is at the Buttonwood Grove winery located on beautiful Cayuga Lake at the end of this past summer, and watching it makes me feel like Spring is in my grasp; and lastly I found the lyrics fitting for this particular era on steemit.
So Happy Whiskey Wednesday steemit community, I present you with Make A Stand:
