Hello my friends, so glad to be here this week listening to such amazing entries. Needless to say, you are in for a treat.
Without any more delays, here we go:
First Place.-
I'm so happy to see Silentscreamer back on the saddle, I sure have missed her talents. As expected this performance is just top notch and there is little that I or anyone could do to outdo this performance. I'm so happy, I think I'm going to order pizza to celebrate.
Second Place.-
I've been listening to Daniel week after week on our openmic contest and wondering what was the style that he would sure shine the most in. Well, I think I found it. The vocal technique, the control and the subtle accompaniment was just perfect. Gosh, I wish I could perform Granada at that level.
Third Place.-

Trevor my man! I truly loved this track and inside my mind I could just picture the whole production. That 90's style Adams rock and roll with soaring vocals making you unconsciously drive just a little faster. A superb lesson in songwriting from the man from down under.
Fourth Place.-
I was really captured by the writing here, and boy was is it heartfelt. I don't know if I could qualify this as blues, but it sure had enough blues coloring to sound familiar to me, yet the vocal style was closer to a bolero. In other words, a fantastic song.
Fifth Place.-
It's never surprising for me to enjoy Darren's writing. He's pretty much one of my favorite songwriters and I mean that not only within the context of our community. If you've never enjoyed his tunes, you are missing out big time.
Honorable Mentions

Long live the openmic!!!

And that is it for me and week #133!!!
But hey friend, before you leave my post musical brother or musical sister, please know that despite the fact that we call this a competition, even though my post says first, second, third place, that is not what matters about the #openmic. In the end of the day the judges are just as human, as flawed and beautiful as everyone else on this planet. The ethos of this contest, of this community, is simply for us to have special place to share our passion for music, for us to laugh together, to cry together and explore emotions that everyday life seems to neglect in one way or another.
Every single one of you is valuable to me, so thank you for being part of my musical family...
Much love
