This is my cover of a song by Semisonic. This came out in 1998 and I got into them around then after hearing some of their songs on the radio. The album Feeling Strangely Fine has a great set of songs. I've played another by them and was sure I'd done it for open mic, but it seems I haven't. I'll save that for another time.
I see Google are launching Youtube Music that will include bedroom cover versions. I wonder what that will pay people. I don't object to original artists getting a share of the profits, but it can be complex to pay them. Maybe there could be a Steem DApp where you can post covers and it automatically pays the artist. Ideally we want them all to get onto Steem. Maybe in a few years.
Anyway, here's the song. I experimented with the singing a little and it did go a bit wobbly at times. You don't get perfection from me.
