As one of the 5 judges, and as an original artist also, I aim to represent the best original artists in this contest from our wonderful Steemit community. I am keeping my ears open for cover artists as well, don't worry but creating an original song is indeed impressive, especially if executed and performed well. This week had many many gems and wonderful music to heal the soul and move the hearts, and there were still many talented performers who entered, so forgive me if I didn't list you, I definitely heard everyone's entries. The way you executed this entry was extremely well done. You completely succeeded in giving out big, powerful positive energy from start to finish. Some people lose focus if they stand up and walk around while trying to sing and play an instrument but it was so natural for you. This was almost like a mini music video with how you stepped outside to share your love of music with your neighbors. What carried you to the top of my list was your passionate voice, and driven guitar strumming and how well you performed this entire piece with everything you put out for us. Thank you for this Brand New Inspiration and for setting the bar high for your fellow Steemian Musicians. How will you top this entry in the coming weeks of future contests? There was something about this entry that drew me in. Your coupled happiness and chemistry shined through your intertwined culturally fused playing and you both truly provide some highly sought after beautiful sounds to our extremely diverse Steemit Open Mic Contest. The longer you both played, the stronger your bond seemed to become in syncopation and rhythm. What a wonderful piece you chose to display for us all this week, and you ended it very strongly indeed. You, without a doubt, sang and poured your entire heart out on this one. From your very first entry that I seen of you, I knew you would bring something special to our contest. I always commend original artists for their creativity, and this song is really heartfelt and moving. The chorus is an Earworm and makes us all want to sing along with you. When you incorporate your true emotions and feelings into music, you connect with your audience so much easier without needing to force anything. You certainly gave an influential performance both vocally and guitar-wise, so this and your growth of impact is what decided me to place you third on my list. Despite winning 1st last week, we cannot deny your greatness and what you provide to our community when you showcase your teamwork, and you placed 4th because you also have a new member within your successful experiment.
