My Top 5 In Order

As one of the 5 judges, and as an original artist also, I aim to represent the best original artists in this contest from our wonderful Steemit community. I am keeping my ears open for cover artists as well, don't worry but creating an original song is indeed impressive, especially if executed and performed well. This week was filled with so many wonderful artists, even amongst the high amount of entries, and there were still many talented performers who entered, so forgive me if I didn't list you, I definitely heard everyone's entries. Like I have stated last week in my previous judging post, your songwriting ability and distinct vocals are what rise you above your peers. Man oh man can you sing and pour your entire soul out with every song you create and perform. Can I get an album or a collaboration with you as well? You create some super powerful and meaningful songs that stand alone as inspirations within our community, it is hard to remove them from replaying in the mind, and that is indeed a great thing because there is so much mindless, terribly terribly brainwashing music out there being spewed out from the corporate music industry and you're refined sound is refreshing to say the least. Your heavy and deeply woven lyrics are a big attribute to what makes you so impactful with your spirited talent. Thanks again for continuing to share with us unforgettable artwork. Looking forward to more of your entries.

I am really impressed at the high quality and smooth execution of this wonderful original of yours. The way you direct your vocals on the chorus section is masterfully effective and you certainly know how to glide into crescendos and descrendos in your voice to manipulate the momentum that keeps us listeners at your pace. You really outshone your previous open mic entries with this one, hands down without a doubt. I thoroughly enjoyed the spaciousness of this lofty musical vibe you gave and the encapulating, almost floating ambience you get with the effects you have in the sound. Besides your skillful singing my favorite part is how you slow down the guitar strumming and build back up on the chorus section. Really nice rhythm patterns there. Man you are really talented. It is amazing what one can accomplish like a machine the way you made a near flawless performance with all the transitioning of parts within this complex song idea, from the singing, to guitar strumming, using guitar as a percussion instrument, layering harmonies, switching on and off your looper etc etc. That is what I admire the most about your ability as a skillful musician. You aim to please with the intricacies of how you compose and map out your songs and I often noted the levels of depth you bring to our competition. Rarely any of your entries ever sound like a 1-2 repeat structure and that is what elevates you above others. Not only is your wide range vocals fine tuned to access experimental blueprints of melodies you craft over your witty and purposefully intentional lyrics, but your ability to take risks with your music is something to admire as well. This whole performance is a good representative of the real talent Steemit harnesses, especially in our music community for our Steemit Open Mic Contest. Thank you for elevating the standard once again! Let's see what you do next to top yourself since you are your own competition. :)

I could listen to an entire concert of you guys and just be immersed in the beautiful sounds you create. You sing with so much soul, intention and feeling it is so contagious not to move with you in the music, and the chemistry you all share with one another is like a gentle spring breeze guiding through fresh and bountiful flowers that share with the world the sweet aromas of what nature has crafted with love, it just is what it is. We can tell you all work extremely hard on your passions and it shows every entry without fail, the perfectionists within you are paying off without a doubt. Please keep sharing and wowing us with your talents. You know you are a force to reckon with and you make our judging lists that much easier. It is indeed a wild world and mister you sure have a big talent and voice! You came in the ball park swinging full effort and you hit a home run for sure. Your performance is meant for the stage because indeed you have a certain performer's aura about you that is hard to deny. You know how to sing there is no question about it, but I feel also it was how you were able to put the music into tangible visuals with how you used your arms and the overall body language of your performance. You commanded the audience with a positively confident attitude and it resonated well with this great cover choice. Kudos to your friend backing you up on guitar, you did great on this performance and I look forward to see what you choose to play and sing next.
