While people are donating time and money for humanitarian aid, and yet others on the front are sacrificing their lives for freedom and democracy, others are profiteering from the situation. I'm being told that people willing to pay between 500 USD and 1000 USD could pass the border without standing in a line. They are also pillaging from humanitarian aid going into Ukraine, like yesterday several kilograms of tuna got confiscated. I have no words ... or ... perhaps I have: bandits, scum, enemies of Ukraine!
The sleeping bags are not that good. It says on them "comfort 10C limit 6C extreme -2C". While it's warm in the daytime, temperatures like -7C is normal in this region and time of year. I had to use one tonight, in perhaps around +12C, and I was freezing. Not good.
And while we're transporting aid to the Ukrainians, Belarusian trucks are transporting supplies for the Russian soldiers on exactly the same roads (except, turning towards Minsk rather than Ukraine). Crazy times.
