Good evening Steemit friends! Especially to all gardening enthusiasts, be it vegetable and fruit garden or ornamental gardeners. Now some of you might all be aware of these techniques on how to have organic fertilizer perfect for our plants but I just want to share this local show's Youtube clip I found earlier.
Since this is mostly in Filipino language, I will just share what I learn as accurate as possible. In the video, it is said that we can have our very own organic fertilizer from our kitchen. From banana peels, egg shells, fish scraps or any vegetable and fruit scaps we can make a fertilizer by fermenting them with molasses.
One is mixing all the raw or uncooked vegetable, fruit, fish scraps with molasses and set it aside for fermentation. It is ready to be used after 7 days. Just mix a small amount of it with water and feed it to plants. This will improve fruits' flavor and plant health.
Another thing is if your fruit bearing plant is not giving out fruit, it is more likely lacking calcium phosphate. It just flowers but it never yields fruit, one example of this is our old mango tree. I think this is its case, hopefully this remedy will work. All we need to do is crush the egg shells, roast it until brown and let it cool. Mix this with vinegar and let it sit for a month then it's ready to be mix with water and feed it to our plants.
I hope you find this summary helpful and less boring. ☺️ Happy gardening! 😊
