Colorful Colorado
I have been visiting Colorado nearly every Summer since 1983. The beauty of this State was a total "trip" for a boy born in Kansas where the dull country side is bound to make anyone seek out some sort of visual thrill-ride. I managed to finally finish this drawing in Salida, CO, after my 3 day hiking fiasco.
I have taken LSD 3 times since being here this summer. Yes, the mountains and sky might do something like this at sunset. It is well worth it.

Then I immediately began this piece before going to the local Library to research the next town I will visit.
