No new music video today, alas: this is my day when I have to attend to my "other life" of work and errands all day until very, very late...
SIGH...
But YESTERDAY EVENING I got a phone call... a bass from Florida that I approached as a potential receiver for "Deep River" called back. His mighty voice vibrated my cell phone so hard I almost thought another call was coming in. He was OVERJOYED to be considered to receive Spirituals newly arranged, and we talked for an hour and a half... I had to turn my phone down a bit because the voice was so HUGE and DEEP and FULL and he was SO happy ... there is nothing like the overjoyed masculinity of a 6-foot-6 inch 27-year-old true bass to show how weak your cell phone speakers really are... we talked for an hour and a half, and found out we really are on the same page for a lot of things and probably will be able to work together long-term. I got so swept away with enthusiasm I said I could send the score out to him by Friday... which is tomorrow ... and I still have to work tonight ...

Guess this means I have to get everything done late tonight and early tomorrow morning, doesn't it? Will be truly burning that midnight oil ... I'm gonna need more coffee ... the clock is ticking down ...
