Since I don't have a singer just yet for this, we're just going to tell the story this way...
"Deep River" consists of a prayer, a pleading with others in the same position, and a repeat of the heart of the prayer...
The Full Prayer: Deep river, Lord ... my home is over Jordan!/Deep river, Lord; I want to cross over into campground.
The Pleading: Oh, don't YOU want to go to that gospel feast/That promised land where all is peace?
The Heart of the Prayer: Deep river, Lord... I want to cross over into campground.
See if you can see (and hear) what the singer decides to do in the end, and whether, at the end of the day, his prayer is heard...
That took 27 total hours. Software crashes and other challenges ... a little technical deep river to get across ... it all came together at 2:02am on Sunday, not that long before I needed to be up again for church! But, the way it came out and the knowledge of how to do future work is its own reward! Also, I gained more insights about "Lord, I Want To Be a Christian In My Heart by playing an older version of it for the senior saints... but that's another post.
Coming back to "Deep River" ... yes, I DID get the music mailed off to the young bass ... he is doing Beethoven's "Choral Fantasy" this weekend, but the wheels are turning...
Project: getting to local riversides and getting footage of actual rivers for when a singer actually records it and it will be time to do another video. In Northern California that is not hard in the early spring. Life gets complicated later in the year, as there are relatively few "deep rivers" in California's summer landscape. But right now, the rivers are flush with water... just have to find the right ones...
