Wow... I came across this sweet old-school Cross ballpoint pen while rummaging through a drawer.
It's got a really slim 14K gold barrel with a very small ball at the tip so it yields a delicate line with much better ink flow than the cheap ones that I normally enjoy.
So I took 'er for a spin... a little scribble and a bit of doodling with some weird music that I assembled using Garageband. I hope you don't mind the inverse filter.. just to add a bit of drama to the whole thing.
An initial 1-second duration doodle is captured in super slow-motion. I do this with a single deep breathe so that my hand is relaxed during the movement.
This is immediately followed by a time-lapse segment within textures are quickly developed that relate in some way to the neighboring lines. But no thought is given to making the shapes "look like anything".
I'm not sure where I'm going with this... but I find it interesting what the brain comes up with when given no time to think.
