Hello friends! Today I'm joining for the first time in this contest. Now already week 15,but still i will post it this week only.Huge gratitude to the organizer of this competition . Well i captured the above photo when i visited my home during Diwali festival. On Diwali, houses are lit up with oil lamps, candles and colourful electric lights.
Traditionally, the earthen lamps with cotton wicks are lit in most of the houses.
Light is significant in Hinduism because it signifies purity, goodness, good luck and power. The existence of light means the non- existence of darkness and evil forces. As innumerable rows of diyas light up every nook and corner of India on Deepawali, they turn a no-moon night into a night brighter and more beautiful than a full-moon night. The diya…the deepak…the humble earthen lamp on the day of Diwali and on every other day is one of the most enduring and exhilarating symbols of my country India.
