This is a small creek that flows into Little River called Johhnie's Creek or known to us locals as the "mill hole".
At certain times when the water is very high people actually launch their kayaks here. At one point there was a mill here but never during my lifetime. There are 3 different spots you can jump from into the large pool at the bottom a small, medium, and tall spot. The tallest is maybe 30 feet and the smallest is about 12-14 feet tall. It is easily accessible from a county road near Fort Payne, Alabama.
There are a couple of lakes upstream from here that are drained each year and the water stays pretty high for the first half of the summer regardless of the rainfall. This creek flows into Little River about a mile downstream. Little River Canyon is one of the largest canyons in the eastern United States. Some of the cliffs along Little River tower 600 feet above the canyon floor. Later in the summer the water flow slows way down but, the water in the pool below remains the entire summer. 
In these pictures the water flow has almost dried up.
