Have you ever set out to teach someone how to do something and realized that your understanding of the subject was wrong or not as complete as you expected?
Read my short writing about why at this opportunity you add value to your life by spending the time to acquire and share the information. Knowledge is valuable, no matter the topic the information is relevant to someone.
This happens to me all the time on steemit with technological and cryptographic topics.
Education and specifically peer to peer instruction helps both the teacher and the student in both formal and informal ways. Most information is not exclusive but is part of an attention based market where society as a macrocosm and every person contained inside it chooses what topics to pursue based on what is the most useful idea. This coupled with the ever broadening and expanding field of education in the world goads the value of science, philosophy, history or even art & entertainment to communally derived value. This system of thought, present in the world at large exponentiates our capacity to increase our human understanding and depth of knowledge further than the previous generation, in this sense this type of intelligence is called artificial intelligence because with billions of humans out there there is likely someone who has thought of your very own ideas you thought were unique and found ways to take them even further or better apply the information to reality.
When the teacher becomes the student.
We are entering an age of a global self perpetuating information market, this is only the beginning.
Since most credentialed educators are products of an age where information is freely available to anyone with access >>to the internet, the idea of an exclusive education is challenged increasingly by people merely by competition. Since >>2015 the majority of the world is said to have access to online resources.
