The Lighthouse is a tower building with a light source at its peak to help navigate the ships. Light sources used range from lamps to lenses and (in ancient times) fire.
Since the current navigation of ships has been growing rapidly with the help of GPS, the number of lighthouses in the world has dropped to less than 1,500 pieces. Lighthouses are usually used to mark dangerous areas, such as corals and shallow sea areas.
