In the Middle East men loved hunting using falcon to catch a rabbit. They often do this for fun and this method of hunting was used in the ancient times. Because Arabs or middle eastern people are travelers or nomads long time ago where they would only live on tents and traveling on a camel or a caravan. When they would find a good patch of land good for hunting they would encamp there for days. So this way of hunting is an excellent way to hunt for food in this arid desert. They would train a falcon to catch prey for people to eat. Kings, rulers, Sheikhs, and commoners shared this passion which they have learned from their ancestors. Since I am working here in Saudi Arabia I am fascinated by their culture as it is unique. One time while we are travelling by land from Jeddah to Riyadh I saw Eagles, hawks and falcons soaring the sky looking for a prey to devour.
This is my watercolor painting of a falcon
I started painting from head
Then the body down to the tail of the falcon
I hope you like my work and through it you too will be encouraged to paint and share it here at STEEMIT.
