Today is Palestine's Land Day.......
On March 30,1976, the Israeli government announced that it planned to confiscate thousands of dunams of land from Arab towns in northern Israel. The reason: security and settlement. A general strike and marches were organized in Arab towns all over the country.
Six unarmed Arabs were killed, about one hundred were wounded, and hundreds of others arrested - all were Palestinian citizens of Israel.
