This is a particular architectural element of Villa Manin.
Villa Manin is one of the largest Venetian Villas in Italy, it was the prestigious residence of the noble Manin family, including Lodovico, the last doge of the Republic of Venice. Its origin is around the end of XVI century and originally was an agricultural centre.
In this picture I shot the last part of the "barchesse" decorated with numerous statues.
The barchesse are buildings located on the sides of the central body and were used as service rooms, as stables, etc.
